Amigos, the camping and beachcombing at San Gregorio is great! Muy Rustico but a great remembrance! We surfed there, too. Easy side trip up to La Purisima let's you taste the flavor of an Oasis. San Juanico with 1st point for the kids and us Viejos!:tumble: Wax up! Tio

Hi all,

The road from Rosarito to La Purisima is all dirt - some parts good and some pretty rough. The graded it before the Baja 1000 last year and I hear it is in pretty decent shape. Of course, the highway being paved is the right way to take a motor home - makes for an easy trip. The dirt road over from Mulege is very rough, beautiful drive just add several extra hours to the trip.

The Scorpion Bay Hotel is a great spot but if you need a house rental look us up.

Take the south road, and the motorhome, then you can camp, the other roads basicilly suck. I made it from Cuidad Insurgentes to San Juanico in less than 3 hrs. the east road may take 3 days.

To 805gregg- looks like bcs53 is pretty much a straight shot from Ciudad Insurgentes. Is it all paved to San Juanico? Thanks Ron

yes, 'cept for the last few.... still the most convenient route if you are down there, otherwise, pick the right north road!:light:
