crossing into Mx at SY
Crossed yesterday at 6 am. Got the green light, but was directed to an inspection lane, as was all traffic. Although we had a car loaded to the gills,
they let us pass with little ado.
Also, besides the regular military stops, we encountered 2 random ones, which makes for 6 stops to Loreto.
The one north of GN did some serious searches in some vehicles and was the cause of about a half hour delay.
Some VW Van with BC, Canada plates got a serious going through.

Headed to the tip next month, thanks for the update.

It is getting rediculous, those Mil.stops. Returning from TS, we had 7, yes SEVEN militairy stops, of which 3 cost us serious time delays. Actually
there were 8, because just after or before the toll-road north of Ensenada there was another one.
The grass is always greener....
and so, there is always a better spot in Baja

Agreed. The short time lost is a small price to pay.

I am so glad the military has the good common sense to go after these Canadians who actually cause most of the problems in Baja. They should have done
this from the start years ago.

I knew someone would reply to my friendly comment! It was a joke Timo. All my relatives are canooks.
And yes Dennis, I have work in China, Nuevo Leon next week and my new flak jacket has been ordered.

Except trying to convince those folks that are hellbent on making the trip to Cabo or La Paz with a single overnight will not be convinced.
What does surprise me is the apparent increase in rummaging through S/B vehicles, especially those with US or Canadian plates.
The rationale? Carrying satchels loaded with laundered money???

More likely the personal protection firearm, I would think.
Even more likely, they're just bored.
