$3 million for signs
they are going to spend $3 million for signs to get from TJ airport to Ensenada but we can't get our pot holes filled. - WTF
Mexican Government, will invest three million dollars for road signs
by Baja Daily News (BDN) on 05/18/11
Ensenada, BC - In a budget item between the Ministry of Communications and Transport (SCT), Secretaria de Turismo (Secture) and the State Government,
will invest three million dollars for road signs on federal Baja California.
"From the bridge to take the international road from Tijuana to San Diego, federal highway Tijuana-Ensenada, Tecate-Ensenada to Tecate, Mexicali and
others will have new road signs," said Juan Tintos Funcke, SECTUR.
The state official was visiting as a guest Ensenada Women's Cultural Group Ensenada.
"From the International Airport of Tijuana to Ensenada, where there is clear and extensive signs for visitors to take the initiative to come to our
city," lamented a female group member.
In this regard, the Secretary acknowledged that the criticism on several occasions, therefore, work in the placement of road signs, thanks to
investment from the federal government and state support for municipalities.
"This will allow domestic tourists arriving at the airport in Tijuana decide to travel, to Rosarito or Ensenada" he said Funcke Reds.
"It's important to do, because those who arrive from the Federal District should know that the time they do to get home to his office on Avenida
Reforma, for instance, is the time it takes to travel from Ensenada to Tijuana or Tecate Mexicali," said .
Funcke Reds reported that in his last trip to Mexico City that was "the flag" used as a promotion, with the aim of Baja California visitors decide to
take the full path and known throughout the state.

Yah, or why don't they finish the connection between the Corredor 2000 and the toll road (started in 2006)?

Whoever wrote that article used Google to translate it from the Spanish. It actually says $3 million PESOs, or about $255,000, and that is for 10
different tourist related projects, not just signs.

It's a constant complaint of mine that most publications will rely only on the dollar sign -$- and not specify the currency.
My rule of thumb is, if the article or whatever is generated in Mexico, it's Pesos unless otherwise specified.

Yeah.....redoing the road and redoing it properly are two different things.
Our Maneadero Road , which was full of holes only a few months back, was fixed by a citizens group, the Pabloff family organization, only a month
back and the baches are returning with a vengeance.
If the road wasn't properly compacted in the beginning, it will be difficult to repare. The problem still exists.
Thanks, Krafty.
