Building the Hotel Finesterra


Here's an old one before the town! The people in the foreground are Walt & Ginny Escherich, family friends from Pasadena. He was involved with the construction.

Great showing historic photos! Thanks jeans... is there a date on the photo? I would guess around 1970-71...?:?:

No date on the pic. They moved down there when I was still in High School '68-'69 They moved to La Paz to open a Hobie Cat dealership. That must have been a little ahead of its time, for the endeavor did not fly..so to speak. Walt had been a contractor and somehow got involved with the hotel.

I saw the pics my parents brought back of the construction and the area...I thought, "who would want to go there?...there's nothing down there!

Obviously, I did not see the vision..:lol::lol:
