Anapromex lider, in jail

Arrested and jailed for fraud and not paying federal taxes. Hope you don't have one of those phony permits.

A statement in the story caught my attention: the victims were told that if they were signaled to pull over by a police unit, they should just ignore the unit and pull into a centro comercial or an "estacionamiento" (usually a parking lot for pay). The implication I got from that is that the police can't do much if you are not on a public street. Does anyone know if that is the case? It could be nice-to-know information at some future date.

Sounds like "resisting arrest" to me.

We were motioned to pull over in Mexicali one day. We pulled into a parking area at a Pemex Station & got out. The policeman said "NO" we needed to go back out on the street, so we did.At the time we were not aware of this? Now we are seeing maybe this is why?

that's rediculous, but it is Mexico. you mean if a crime occurs and the cops are chasing the puke he can pull onto private property and the cops won't/can't follow?

Extortion is more easily managed in a secluded setting.

More likely, the cop just didn't want to clutter up the guy's gas station while doing his job.
