Cabo Lodging wanted
I'm planning a trip to Cabo in July for a week, and am curious if anyone has any lodging options for that area. Not too interested in the major hotel
packages, etc, but would like to be near the beach (if that's even possible). We don't need anything fancy, but must be clean, safe, and reasonable.
Thanks in advance

Seriously must wonder about such a post. It implies that you may have never been there, and are looking for recommendations.
There are myriad options from the upscale ocean front hotels and time shares, to the little hotels blocks away from the beach.
I can relate that over the years, one of the best deals we've found is at the Finesterra, especially the rooms facing the marina. The hotel is on the
beach on the Pacific side, and it is just a short walk into town.
That said, if you navigate around this web site. you may find something to your liking.

If you can handle being several blocks from the beach, you might wish to consider

Thanks for the replies. Yes - we've not been there before, and are hoping to benefit from the experience of others.
Will check into the information supplied so far.
Thanks again!

Dutchman, welcome, Cabo is overpriced and over rated for sure...but great fishing, surfing and some serious ( and expensive) golf courses. That
being said and after many trips there ( surf, fish) I vote for the Mar de Cortez, safe, clean and as you will find not expensive. As for the major
hotels, better refinance your house...I have found that the prices there are outragous but still folks keep going....ask around from folks who hav
eactually been there, Mar de Cotez is the best deal in town hands down...but do take ear plugs to tune out the time share hawks in town..
Mexico!! Where two can live as cheaply as one.....but it costs twice as much.....

cabo has a lot to offer you just have to explore a little.
the older i get the more i appreciate luxury.
and treating the spouse to some pampering.
compare to stateside resorts on the water , it is a bargain, or can be.
