Before the digital age film photographers used filters for effect and in the dark room "Photoshopped" their images by manipulating the film by dodging, burning all in the effort to produce the photo they wanted.

Your little digital camera shooting JPEG pictures is setup to enhance the saturation, contrast, brightness. Better cameras allow you to adjust the JPEG images the way you want. More serious photographers shoot RAW images which have no in camera manipulation induced. They go to the "digital darkroom", ie Photoshop or other digital software and process their images.

Photoshop (or similar software) is only a tool, and is used by virtually all professional photographers with a result that doesn't look manipulated at all.

Few to no dorado reported from Chivato fishermen the last week. Hope this is temporary but if the storm materializes it won't matter much for the tourney.

I enhance them in iPhoto to try and give them the color & clarity I think I've seen.
