Representatives of Redondo Beach and their sister city of La Paz, Mexico met Tuesday in Redondo Beach. La Paz Tourism Board Pres. Augustin Olachea, sits near crime stat comparison graphic.

Officials from La Paz, Mexico, kicked off a campaign Tuesday to attract U.S. tourists and got a helping hand from its American sister city, Redondo Beach.

An event to launch the push, called "La Paz: City of Peace and Abundance on the Sea of Cortez," was held at Redondo Beach's old historic library in Veterans Park.

La Paz, which means "peace" in Spanish, is located on the eastern coast of the peninsular state of Baja California Sur.

I truly hope this will bring more business to La Paz, and Baja!
Having grown up in "Socal", fishing, surfing, and generally just living the whole thing in Newport/Huntington/O.C., :saint:,
La Paz is a Mecca for beach, ocean, desert lovers everywhere. The locals and ex-pats welcoming and helpfull, BIG TIME!!! Come on down Redondoites, the weather is great!!!! Oh, living here is simply awesome!
