LES FISH REPORT - LA BOCANA, bcs

Tuna and Yellows are here!!!!!!!
La Bocana, BCS has Tuna and yellowtail. The yellowtail are on schedule to arrive in July but the Tuna are a month early. At the moment nobody is going out fishing with rods, just the local Co-Op pagueros using the nets, 300 to 400 fish per boat mostly yellowtail and a few yellow fin tuna all about 20 lbs. The fish are located about 18 miles out from La Bocana.

With what is happening in Ca. with the MLPA's being enacted as soon as Oct. 1st this year, I hope Baja as a whole sees many more gringo fisherman this year.

With 300 to 400 yellowtail netted per panguero.....per day....gotta wonder how many will be left for those gringos?....

I realize pangueros gotta make a living but with just 5 pangas laying nets.....it's a take of over 1000 (one thousand) yellowtail per day.
Just saying........

exactly !!!! OB had me real ready for this challenge and I went to UCSC, which is also taught me to be a real revolutionary too !!!

but it is hard folks, to get these guys to stop netting .... so many other countires have made the same mistake .... short-sighted but the immediate BIG cash is enticing ...

Les might be going fishing this week to check out if the fish are for real LOL. He is amazed that they are here so early ... and he is ready to go fishing bigtime this year.
