New flight between Tijuana, Loreto & Cabo

Just read this in the Sudcaliforniano; maybe there's hope of being able to fly to Loreto from Tijuana soon!

Loreto, Baja California Sur .- Loreto is expecting the company Aerocalafia announce the start of its new flight San José del Cabo, Loreto and Tijuana, which would open a very important opportunity to increase tourist arrivals and foreign national to this destination.

This was stated by the president of the Loreto Hotel Association, Mario Cortes, who said Aerocalafia released at this time are the licensing procedures by the flight to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC).

The intent of this regional line is placed in the new route a 30-seat aircraft, which would achieve an ideal connection to two important airports that may serve as feeders for this tourism destination, said Mario Cortés.

The president of the hoteliers also said that one of the essential factors to consolidate flights as this is to promote niche markets in the most significant work that already is working with state and federal agencies.

"Niche" is the operative word. I have no doubt that full and part time Loreto residents will rejoice at having another option.

But, for many, the idea of only getting to TJ will not cut it.

I still am waiting for the Villa Group to begin subsidizing flights from LAX to LTO so they can sell theor timeshares at Ensenada Blanca.

They're not going to make back theor investment selling to Loreto locals,
