In my case, the speedometer read about 2-3 mph too fast (when comparing to a GPS)... when I put the next taller size tires on, it read right on. All
other Tacoma users commented the same was true for them on another forum.
I understand this is typical of mfg's so you have a bit of padding to keep from getting a ticket. The talk is that even though the speedometer reads
65 (when you are going 63), the odometer is correct (for warantee coverage, etc.)... ? Not sure how the two are seperated?

Wow! That's some trip to see the Mision. Did I read correctly one truck had street tires?

I am guessing you are commenting on the links in my sig. and not Curt's tire size link?:
Yes, the 4Runner of Bajatripper... and the tires that edm-1 had on his 'motorhome' where nothing to write home about. My truck only had the stock BFG
Rugged Trails (it now has the great Hankook Dynapro ATm's).

Back in the mid eightys I had a 300z and the only replacement tire at that time that would fit was a Cooper
was so impressed with them thats all I run. I currently run a set of Cooper Discover A T R's on my 4 whd. Suburban, good traction and very quite.
although they are a bit pricey I highly reconend them.

Yes, I have run Cooper Discoverer ATRs (on my 2005 Taco)... A very good tire, on par with the Toyo Open Country AT (also run on my '05). The Hankook's
are (so far) very amazing in their performance as an all terrain tire.
