RV Crossing for San Ysidro?
Which lane, far right?, should be used to cross to Baja with a 5th wheel trailer?
Thanks,
Bob

The "RV" lanes are on the far left. Went through there with my travel trailer a few weeks ago. It was the first time ever that I did not get sent to
secondary while towing a trailer!

Now I am confused. Other forums/sites say to go through the rightside declaration lanes when driving an RV...? Is there a secondary parking area to
the left of the left lanes or do you need to drive your RV across the the lanes to the far right declaration lanes if you get the red light?
Thanks,
Bob

Bob, the lanes to the left are not wide enough. Stay to the right and be prepared for secondary (mandatory for all R.V.'s) usually they get you out
very fast because you can't drive in to secondary on a motorhome (because of barriers ) so you have to parallel park along the K barriers. In my
experience at San Ysidro.

Use the Otay crossing. Much easier to get an RV through.

You don't get red or green when entering the United States. If you meant going into Mexico perhaps you should rephrase your question.
The RV lanes for San Ysidro are far left. Going into Mexico you should be far right as you're gonna get red lighted anyway.

Welcome, byoungquist! Your original post was clear. You said "to cross to Baja". The far right lane is the correct one. You can take care of business
there if necessary. There is ample parking there for a big rig. When you are ready to roll you will be directed to push the button which will either
give you green or red. If you get green, proceed. If you get red you will get an inspection. No big deal.
Happy Trails!

My apologies Bob, for some reason or other I thought you meant coming north. Your right stay right and prepare to be boarded, also make sure you have
all motorhome or trailer documents, registration etc.. They made me go into the engine compartment and verify the vin, also they found a c02 tank for
my kids bb gun and that caused all kinds of problems. Have fun be safe.
