Tuna Seiner Fleet in BA

About a dozen huge Tuna Seiners came into Bahia yesterday. Fully equipped for destruction! Pangas, nets, and Helicopters. Very big. This morning they are cruising around outside the Bay looking like the have their nets out . Right in front of Shari & Juans about 1/2 mile out. What say you Nomads? I have seen Shrimp Seiners but never Tuna boats. Tio

No need for a photo.

The description alone is enough to make one hurl.

these tuna boats are here pretty much every year...the locals like it because they spend money in town and give people fish and take kids for rides on the helicopters. but I've never seen this many here...last count was 10 off our place..sheesh.

the water jumped up to 77 today and the big seiners are netting bonita...it's thick with bonita here. Juan just called in and he is fishing close to a seiner and they are hauling in their limit of nice yellowtail this morning...what a team...boe4fun, surfdoc and Juan...I have the fresh batch of sashimi sauce chilling...tick tick tick...gonna be a social sunday for sure with a fish feed...swim at the beach here at the house...we are sooo lovin the warm water for daily dips.

Yesterday Surfdoc caught some nice YT on the Mojack at Asuncion Island as well and had a fish feast at the camp last night for his amigos.

Seriously hate to see them here, and hope they leave for more fertile grounds before the YFT show!!! Would hate to see them perform they're flawless execution on schools of Tuna headed to BA..

But it's not my water, nor my place to say more then personally I don't like any type of nets boats...

WFO YT and Calicos right now... Woody should only be better when ya get here. Juan and I have discussed the possibility of Dorado and Wahoo if the water blues up and the bait holds!!!
