The Border is a Friggin' Mess!!!

On the US side of the Border, crossed San Ysidro earlier today, what a mess!!! There are about 9 lanes on the right closed where Sentri used to be, and they are rerouting traffic to the left, shoving everyone together in about 12 lanes, it looks like a disaster...took an hour in Sentri to cross...talk about 9/11!!

Sentri

From the information the guard at the Border told me, by the way a very nice young lady, everyone was being lumped together that had passport cards or Mexican visas with a sensor chip and Sentris at this time. I don't know if this will be a permanent arrangement or not. Looks like a bomb went off there!!!

Tecate Garita norte

The Tecate northbound crossing out of Baja was excellent last Wednesday evening.
One hour 15 minute wait.
The highway construction was 98% complete.

This may be part of the reason -- a collapse of construction scaffolding on Wednesday morning.

I was actually in line to cross southbound right after this happened and saw several dozen police, fire and EMT vehicles arriving on the scene.
