Hiking writer Jerry Schad dies

His hiking map of SPM is great!
I've spent many a fine weekend enjoying "his" hikes in So Cal and Baja!

Sad news... His map was great and he wrote several guides to the back country.

Didn't know the man..

"He once bicycled 352 miles in one day and completed a 100-mile endurance run across the Sierra Nevada on another. Many weeks, he would hike at least 30 miles."

RIP
