Simple Baja Key Lime Pie . . . This stuff is refreshing

For two graham cracker pie shells:

12 oz's fresh squeezed Baja lime juice

Zest from half a lime

1 can Baja Nestle's La Lechera sweetened condensed milk

2 large or 3-4 small Baja avacados

Mix all ingredients in blender until smooth,

Low speed so it won't get air bubbles

Fill your graham cracker shells and put in freezer

No cooking required.

Your guests will never guess the ingredients.

Sounds good and easy enough for even me to whip up.

But.................

What is "Zest from half a lime"?

and,

what size can of milk?

grate the skin to make the zest, and the can is 397 grams.

SFandH, Just want to add that the zest is just the very outside, colorful part of the peel. Make sure you don't get any of the white, pithy part of the peel, it is bitter and doesn't taste good.
Bajacalifornian, is this your own recipe? It's a very interesting use of avocado.

Why have coffee in the a.m. to wake up......when reading this does the trick!

One does not taste the avocado?

I just made one without the avocado... darned. I had a avocado on the counter too. This one is pecan crust- not graham cracker. Next time... with avocado.

Hey . . . here in America another couple weeks. Wow! I´m missin´home.

Lotta limes. Not my recipe, was a friend´s. Avacado is for color and texture. No taste present, my friend mcfez. See you in another thread.

I tried this recipe as cited and thought I would need surgery get the pucker from staying permanently. That is a coke bottle of lime you have in that recipe. Can you change that to maybe 2 OZ? Let me know. Thanks.

My lime pie was made with 8 ounces of fresh lime juice. How are you going to make it takes like fresh lime with only 2 ounces? (unless you use lime jello as the flavor base ... yuk).
