a quick visit to Punta Abreojos (pics)

The homes in the La Baliza part of Punta Abreojos are gorgeous and the views of the beach are spectacular....it is surfer country ... there are a number of good eateries - one of our favorites is JUANITAS which is right on the malecon.

There are some big fancy homes there! Last time we were there a few years ago, we ate at restaurant where the fancy homes are----don't remember the name, but the lobster tacos were very good!

I think Punta Abreojos is just growing into itself ... the town is beautiful - the malecon is so well done - the people are friendly - the baseball team is not as good as la bocana's team and it is windier there (inside joke between la bocana and punta abreojos) - and the homes where most of the gringoes live, just outside of town and off the grid with electricity, are really spectacular as the photos reveal.

Juanita's restaurant on the malecon has good meals but it is closed from 3 - 6.....so get there early !!
