Travel Partner, Tecate to LB

We're staying in Potrero county park and will cross in Tecate early morning on the 20th for a slow 4 to 5 day trip to Los Barriles. We're pulling a 20 ft. trailer, one small dog and a sweet wife that don't nag and loves to travel. Anyone heading that way and want to hook up just drop us a note and we'll talk. bob_henshaw@yahoo.com

Hi Bob....We're going the Tecate Trail too, and staying 1-2 nights at Potrero Park same as you...don't yoy love the huge oaks and nature trails? And the rate is about the best you'll find anywhere in the county. Unfortunately, we'll be about 8-9 days behind you, otherwise it would be great to caravan with you.

Leave a trail of crumbs and we'll catch up if you dilly-dally like us.

I know some others going down about then..and will forward your post to them. Buena suerte and Safe Travels!

Potrero Park sounds nice. Does anyone have any other recommendations for other campgrounds north of border et Tecate that would allow for an early border crossing?

Near Seeley, CA

Sunbeam Lake RV Resort:
http://sunbeamlake.com/

Friendly, space between units, dog friendly, well maintained, good amenities, secure fence, low air force flyovers and a moat. About an hour to the border, decent drive in the dark. A bit pricey, get there before Office closes at 4 p.m.

When the way comes to an end, then change. Having changed, you pass through.
