Karl. Have a fun trip down & back. I just made that return trip the other day. Don't let the 'talk' about the construction south of Ensenada being bad. We found it slowed us down somewhat, but was easy driving through it. Though it was around mid afternoon when we did it. Always tell the Military, Felize Navidad when you first see them. It makes their day easier on them. Worked great for us. We did that on the way back from Cabo, and breezed through every stop. Wow. What a surprise that was.

Phil,

thanks for the pointer.

I have done this trip already six times this year. I really enjoy the construction sites, and I'm almost amazed how nice of the equipment the crews have.
I didn't grow up in the land of plenty with the multi lane freeways, the German country roads are as fun to drive as the Mex Hwy 1 - day or night.

The military guys always like my little LED flashlights - I found some real inexpensive very bright ones, so I have a little "mordito" to go along with the Feliz Navidad.

good idea with the LED lights. i always buy a 5 pack from home depot for $20 before we go and hand them out to friendly soldiers at the checkpoints.

BTW, love the part about the tight right turn...
