winter Storm sunrise

yesterday the clouds rolled in, rain fell, the seas boiled and wind whipped the coast...and today it has doubled!!! It is a true winter storm...the likes of what we dont see very often here in the desert...and it is magnificent!

The desert is contento....those little seedpods have been shaken from their sleep and will soon spring to life creating a sea of yellow and purple.

At dawn, the power was off in the whole village and I climbed up to the vigilancia tower to watch the dawning of a stormy day...some yoga, meditation and appreciation of the magnificent cloud creatures...the sunrise spilling lava....the dark monsters...rain squalls and gale force winds (my poor plants!) It has been a dramatic morning here in Asuncion...one to admire.

I'm listening to some Native American flute music I picked up on our recent trip to the Grand Canyon...it sure goes with your pictures and poetry, Shari!

The album is, Sacred Dreams, by Scott August...maybe you can check it out on itunes or something! Saludos, Heather

I knew it must rain in BA, sometimes. Nothing like a good rainstorm for a day or two! Then the sweet smell of the Earth and the desert flowers! In Pescadero we only have had clouds and a very black sky over Sierra La Laguna last nite. Rain in La Paz? Mulege and Loreto must have gotten some lluvia, sino?! Tio
