MORE MEXICAN FEDERAL HIWAY POLICE

Just a reminder on how helpful these guys are. In August I had 2 flat tires at the same time on the hiway between Coyote Bay and Mulege. It was 109 degrees F outside and I needed help. They stopped and changed the tire. Flagged down a trucker to provide air for the tire, then gave me a ride into town to get a new tire while my wife stayed with the other officer. They got me going and saved me from probably heat stroke. They are based in Santa Rosalia and patrol the whole area.

There was a photo of the incident with the above post, but didn't make it. The important point was the good work the Federal Hiway Police did.

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

LOL, yea wish the CHP were not looking to make up the budget on those using the highways. Went to Yuma from El Centro twice in two weeks and saw 6, yes 6 highway patrol vehicles all giving tickets on I-8 it is like a feeding ticket time for them. Have also gone to San Diego from El Centro 2 times in two weeks and have seen 8, yes 8 giving tickets like crazy. They have a very good hideout on I-8 just as you start to hit the downgrade at the first sign that say Descanso exit watch out.

My point is they are there to make money for California and when I travel all parts of Mexico the Federal Police maybe have 4 vehicles on the long toll roads or other roadways but they are at their check points. Let's hope they do not start copying CHP here in looking to make money on motorists for Mexico. No, I have not gotten any tickets but very watchful and No, I do not always drive the speed limit but try to most of the time,LOL. NO excuse for any LE to be rude or have a bad attitude.....To complain about the CHP or anyone else writing tickets for cars speeding down the highway.....Well thats their job. Yeah they write lots of tickets, thats because lots of cars drive 2 fast!
