Need ifo RE: Santa Rosalia-Guymas Ferry

I need to get to Ohio (MIL in Hospice) and considering the ferry from SR-Guy.

I can leave SR on Sunday nite, driving an Explorer and have a 22 lb dog.

Do I need to pre-purchase or get the ticket that Sunday?
Do I get a bed and can dog join me?
Any way to get a discount off published price and does car price include room/bed?
Still about 5 hrs from Guy to Nogales and what kind of wait at Border?

Thanks to all and hope for a Great New Year.

reservations are recommended, they can be full. ferrysantarosalia.com
you can get a bunk room (extra cost above passenger fee) they are four bedded and you may or may not have company/strangers but they do segregate by sex. recommend take your own sleeping bag/blanket/sheet/pillow.
dog has to stay in car.
discount for INAPAM holders.
car price only includes vehicle. some people have said that it includes the driver, only, I've heard conflicting stories re that, but know the bed is extra.
best way to get current info/prices/etc is to call them. phone numbers on website. you can also email but I've had mixed results with that. sometimes got a reply, sometimes not.
count on five or six hours to border.
last time I crossed I had a one and a half hour wait for border crossing, this late at night. guess it all depends on when you hit it.
