San Ysidro Ready Lanes

I'm hoping someone can explain how to get to them from the toll road. It sounds like you need to approach the border crossing from the east.

"The Ready Lane will utilize gates 8 to 11, on the right-hand side of the port of entry, beside the lanes dedicated for SENTRI card-holders. The only access to the Ready Lane will be from Vía Rápida Oriente and by avenida Padre Kino, in the Río zone."

Yes you do, SF&H

You approach the road from the West and drive Approx 3/4 mile past the corner tire store where you would normally enter.
Then you'll see the start of the line and drive to the last car.
Depending on the day of the week...it could take 30 minutes, or it could take 3-1/2 hours.

when 2nd st ends at loops be in the 2nd lane from the right, take ave hero's away from the border to the sissors roundabout. go around and up and over the bridge, continue to the next roundabout, go around continuing in the same direction to the next roundabout(ave kino) here you essensially make a left turn taking you into the ready lane. you'll be surprised at how well they marked this route for you.
