AH! A New Gringo...MUCHO GUSTO!

As I step out of my pickup to talk to a welder, I am immediately rushed and swarmed by a wild group ...

Attacked and scared out of my wits!!??

Well....maybe not...

No...more like..Bewildered?

What the heck kind of pack is THIS?

Hmmm?...A fairly motley crew?....let's see here, we've got...

-1 estactically-happy albino coonhound bent on slobbering all over my shoes
-2 midgets flanking me so as to mini-lick me from opposite sides
-and a mellowed-out boxer with two second-string licking tailwaggers.

Should I run for my life!?...or get out the dog biscuits..

Well, maybe biscuits....and kibbles & bits...for the flankers.

BUT on the other hand..meet:

The head honcho, who stayed aloof and on duty cuz he's The Watchdog.

Known thru-out Baja as.. "The Assassin."

"Come any closer and you die, fool."

I decided I could easily call Ramon's cell.

Whew! Life just doesn't more exciting than Mulege, does it?

Who knows what dangers await tomorrow?

I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

"AH, a new Gringo..."

Thought you were talking 'bout the big white dog midst the thundering herd of Chihuahua, Pompy.

Heck no, Mulegena...that Gringo be me!

Even though Mulege calls me a Mulegeno, I am and always will be a 'gringo' ...as used with a smile. Like mi compadre, Manuel says, 'Rogelio es un gringo muy loco, pero él no habla con el fuego.'

Of course, Manuel himself has been terminally brain-bent for several years, but I accept 'any and all' compliments with no false modesty whatsoever. ;)
