The goat would be totally out of place with successful capitilists anyway as he really would not understand anything they said anyway.

Perhaps the problem is that CaboMagic chose an inappropriate audience to pitch this trip? There are certainly more expensive yacht charters, and obviously there are many that are cheaper.
Just because none of us can (or will) afford to pay this much to go sport fishing doesn't mean it's not a good value.
Good luck CaboMagic, I hope that you fill the boat! (please send me a copy of the guests contact info?;D)

CaboMagic is called that because your money disappears...like magic!! Well, I guess for a few pounds of filets its not a bad bargain...four spots spoken for, let's see...might that be President Calderon, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey...and Carlos Slim???

It appears as though "goat's" and my post on gouging were removed.

Internet censorship is the control or suppression of the publishing of, or access to information on the Internet. It may be carried out by governments or by private organizations either at the behest of government or on their own initiative. Individuals and organizations may engage in self-censorship on their own or due to intimidation and fear.

Opinions on the topic of Internet censorship vary, with arguments being made both for and against censorship. Moreover, the extent of Internet censorship varies on a country-to-country basis. While some counties have little Internet censorship, other countries go as far as to limit the access of information such as news and suppress discussion among citizens. Internet censorship can also come about due to events such as the Arab Spring, which led to instances of censorship in an attempt to undermine the protesters.[weasel words]

Doc, I enjoy your posts, and the thought that usually goes with them, but I think that you're on the wrong trail this time.

For example, I can't afford a new car, but that doesn't justify my making derogatory statements on, let's say, my local car dealers FaceBook page about their poor business pratices, right?

Too expensive for me is pocket change for someone else. And that differentiation alone isn't enough to condemn anyone, right?

So, to go Gingrich on CaboMagic just because they're offereing a very high-end fishing charter that neither of us can afford isn't justified, or fair to CaboMagic. Now, if you or someone you know personally, has chartered through them and had bad service or been ripped off, by all means make it known, but no charges like that have been forthcoming, and in their absense it seems fair to kennel the hounds.

There are homes for sale in Baja that range from Pedregal and East Cape mansions all the way to 3-walled palapa's. No one is considering one end of the range to be "right" and the other "wrong"; why this time?

Okay, I'll step down off the table now. Put down the fruit.

I agree with you Islandbuilder. I will retract my statement about "gouging" although it had already been censored.

I would like to think that we can self-censor, but in a public forum, it's possible that the owner has some liability over things posted by members. Perhaps someone with a bigger brain than mine can answer that.

SQ, thank you for reading my post in the spirit in which it was written, and not as an attack on you or anyone else. I will need, I'm sure, someone to help me see something I have posted about from another perspective. I think that we all need friends to say "well yeah, but have you considered......?" from time to time. I hope that when it's my turn to hear that from some of you, I respond as graciously as you have.
