morning mountain vista

Taken just north of Catavina. Cirios are all bearded right now. The foreground and middleground were all in shade with the mountains to the east all in sun.

This one's gold Ken. Maybe some crop work (less sky and wider format) but I really like this one. Colors are vibrant without going over the top.

Ken, I replaced your bananas shot on my desktop with this great shot! I see agave, not boogums.

I can't travel the Baja like I used to and you and others bring the best of it right to my house now. Can't beat that -- thanks again.

Osprey,

Thanks for giving the shot fridge time.

We saw a lot of blooming agaves this trip. I didn't capture them in this shot though. The "bearded" stalks in the photo, 4 clustered to the right extending above the mountains in the distance are young Cireos/Boojums. The thinner stalks are agaves.

The landscape in Valle de Cireos (between El Rosario and Catavina) was especially green this trip and will probably yield a colorful springtime.

Take care.

Ken
