Tide Experts?
I can find no tide charts for San Ignacio, but do have this one for San Carlos.
http://oceanografia.cicese.mx/predmar/mensual/snc/snc1202.pd...
I am very ignorant about tides, but approximately how different would the tides be in San Ignacio----time wise?
Gracias

They'd be off a little but not much. I think if you check surfline's San Juanico report it would be pretty close. I'll find it.
I don't remember there being an ocean in San Ignacio though...... I'm sure your
talking about the lagoon out there.........

I like this 1
http://www.bajaquest.com/bajasports/tides.htm
Looking at the Cortez, as an example a high tide
is approx 30 min earlier in Loreto as in La Paz

Thank you ateo and sancho---I appreciate it.
And ateo, you mean to tell me you have never seen the ocean in San Ignacio?

San Ignacio Lagoon is our favorite place to go whale watching and often it is better when the tide is closer to high tide.

Some of the tide predictions are based on models (rather than bouys) and not always for the area they are advertizing. If you look close at the
prediction for Abreojos it is actually for Bahia de Ballenas.

magnitude should be about the same (perhaps a few inches less variation in lagoon). times should be within about 15 minutes.
if you buy a hard-copy tide chart for baja, most have correction factors listed. the online tide charts usually don't list correction factors, but
you can make an educated guess by looking at listed sites on either side of the location of interest.

Tide charts are very important if you're going fishing.
