OLD PLANE CRASH
In the mid '60's we were cruising south from Puerto Penasco in my brothers converted navy patrol boat and we came across
this old airplane crash on a deserted island. I think it was Pato Island, just south of Tiburon. Pictured is my brother Patrick on left and Charlie
McCarver on right.

In those days, we flapped our wings for added lift. Skeet can confirm this.

Vince...that plane wreck reminds of Johnny Tequila crash-landing on one of the islands near Bahia de Los Angeles. It was right around 1982 or so, I
believe. He was joined by Killer Caine to salvage the Cessna 172 and boat haul back to the highway.
This is a typical C 172, not JT's.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

OK, here is the stern half of the converted navy boat. They bought it in San Diego, hauled it to Phoenix, converted it there and put it on a semi
tractor and hauled it to Puerto Penasco. It has a GMC 670 diesel, about 35 feet long and he still owns it. Keeps it at the marina in San Carlos. A
great dive/fish boat, very slow but steady. The photo is on the same trip in Santa Rosalia, we are partying with a bunch of engineers that work
there in the mine. I agree, that old plane wreck is probably a Cessna 172, Roger.
