when i was akid there were almost ZERO pelicans around OB/Sunset Cliffs. i'm stoked everytime they fly by in formation now. after the Osprey they are my favorite ocean bird.

When they fly by in formation we always refer to them as B-52's:D

Folks around here seem to call them the Mexican Air Force when they see them doing that. It's a pretty sight...for sure.

We were in San Ignacio Lagoon ------ I think of pelicans and the clowns in the world of sea birds and osprey as the efficient and elegant fishers.

They are all fun to watch.
