Just got back 2 weeks ago...sitting in the bar upstairs at the Tailhunter watching all those families, kids, teens riding bikes, strollers being
pushed, Saturday and Sunday evening on the Malecon...seemed so sureal compared to the stories that keep people away.
Enjoy!

Enjoy! | Exactly why the US State Dept. recently declared La Paz one of the safest cities in the world.

The weather was absolutely perfect in La Paz during my recent visit. Cool at night and balmy mid day.
Hey Alan, catch any more fish lately?

Mitch,
The wind has been up for quite a while. They even cancelled the YT tournament last weekend but we get a break in the wind tomorrow and I am headed
out with a neighbor so hopefully I'll have a good report for you.

Ah, yes. Tailhunter. A funky sports bar. But, it has incredible food!

Not that I disagree with your sentiment, Alan, but I find no evidence that the U.S. State Department wrote anything of the kind. All the State Dept.
wrote is that there is no travel advisory to Baja Sur.
It was the La Paz Tourism Board who hired a California market research firm that says that if La Paz were in California it would be the third safest
city in that state. Apparently, some articles confused the sources and ascribed an even more hyperbolic statement to the State Department.

Just sharing what I read. Read into it whatever you want but I have had my place here for 5 years and I'd have to say it's pretty accurate of my
experiences here.

I couldn't agree more. One of my favorite Mexican cities. Safe, comfortable, and the fishing is not bad, either.

I believe that from my own experience in La Paz for the past 5 years. Also, Mission Viejo and Irvine, both cities in Orange County CA that
consistently rank as the top (#1,2, or #3) safest cities in the country. So if La Paz would be #3, that is really sayng something.

Going back to #3 in May 15 to 24. I was going to be there until the 30th, but I have return to CA for a couple of graduations. Going to La Paz in
June for almost 3 weeks though. Let's go fishin' in May! We'll clean up again, maybe launch my boat from Muertos(?) as I got the rails put on the
trailer.
Smoked some of the yellow tail we caught. Came out really good! Family is really eatin' it up.
Yeah, man!
