Hugo the wonderful artist/painter Taco Mision, El Rosario
Does anybody has his contact email address?
I wanted to purchase one of his painting, had a nice tasty lunch at his Taco place and he gave me his business card.
Unfortunately, I did loose that little card.....maybe mama whale blew it away at the lagoon
By chance, if you have that info or you are driving through El Rosario, please stop at his Taco place (Taco Mision) and be so nice to forward his
email address to me.
Thanks,
Karl

My only recollection of that place is the stink-eye looks from the wait people and the slow service because of me being a Gringo. I would not
recommend Mision Tacos to any traveler.

Something was way off Marc... Hugo and his wife are wonderful folks and used to live north of the border. I am sure they both must have been away and
would not like to hear you got diss'd there.
Bajaboy and many other Nomads have eaten there and speak highly of it... not just me.

Yes, I've always had good experiences. My only complaint are the odd hours...seems hit and miss. We really enjoy the place across the street, too.

and trying to support a local artist.....
I'm driving south again in late April and wanted to remind Hugo to get the painting I like, but stupid me - lost the contact email address.
The food was fine and the ladies were friendly

I'll check by there in the morning.
Do they do breakfast?

Not early (when we were last there in the morning)... I was having my truck washed next door and it was late morning (so easy to sleep in at Baja
Cactus)... and Hugo and his Mrs. were just opening the restuarant up. Let us know... I love breakfast burritos... usually get a plate of chorizo
breakfast burritos at Baja's Best.

Do they do breakfast? | Backtracked from Las Cabanas Motel to Tacos La Mision at about 9 a.m. and nope,
they're not open until noon the sign at the door said. Sorry, can't help right now, but I'll stop by on my way back south. I've been wanting to see
the art, too. It'll be a first for me other than the great photos that've been posted here on Nomad!

Last time I was at his place (April or July, 2011 trip), he said he wasn't painting anymore... like he was taking a break or the lack of tourists (art
customers) has cut into his desire to produce more? I hope he gets re-motivated. I sure enjoy the two paintings we got from him!

Thank you Mulegena for you effort!
I do believe they are opening their Taco place at 11AM or noon.
When you are there and look at the paintings in the restaurant, ask for Hugo and the ladies will call him. He is a very pleasant guy, would be nice
for you to meet the artist in person.
