Hey Divers...PADI cert on line?
A question for the scuba divers...
Anybody done the academic portion of the padi certification ( "e learning " ) on line?
I'm just wondering how many days one needs to complete it and move on to the next steps.

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Thanks mcfez. I found that info ok. But I was curious about how quickly the acedemic portion can be completed. A day, a week, more?
My schedule is tight and I didn't want to buy the package if I don't have to finish it. Gotta have it done in about a week.

padi website says it takes a min of 15 hours. probably depends on how fast you learn and pass progress quizzes.
diving is dangerous of you don't learn the details. suggest you study carefully and not rush it. you say you only got a week? that should be time
to read the book twice, and take the online coursework.

I did the online academic portion and found it to be very very simple and if you need to you can whiz through the portions...i did it in 3 days no
problema at all. If you fail a section, you just go back and take it again. I think it was a great way to not have to go to a class yet learn the
stuff.
It was well designed for easy learning....good luck.

As soon as you finish academic portion find a local PADI instructor to spray you with a garden hose and and you will be one..

after completing my online academic work, I was certified here in Asuncion by an excellent teacher...Mr.Bajagypsy...and did all the required dives and
skills to complete my certification...we did the pool dives in the shallows at the beach.
