Well, that fits with the 73.5 degree water I found Friday off of the south side of San Marcos Island. The early boys are real hard to get to bite and sometimes a mackerel thrown right in front of their nose gets a take, but they are real sluggish on the plugs at this temp.

I watched one jumping offshore from Pta. Rosa a few days ago. Water was almost 73 degrees that day. Slightly warmer by now I imagine, and more billfish on the way would be my guess.

Also spotted two large black manta rays doing thier thing...huge splashes...what acrobats they are!




I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.
