Remember this?
Well, after much research this looks to be a harmless West Coast Garter Snake, Thamnophis validas. The length, about 30 inches is right. They have
fragmented populations that include this part(La Ribera) of Baja Sur. They also have a large head-plate like this guy has. I showed the picture on
my camera to a local that was net fishing the lagoon and he said "Here?" I said si. He about turned white and left pronto.
We also saw an American Oystercatcher.
And Debbie took this awesome photo of an Osprey with what looks like to me a Trumpetfish.

Bigoly, FANTASTIC bird pix. I really love the Osprey that your wife captured---I am just partial to Osprey!
And it is good to know the identification of that snake with the great eyes.
