I looked, but I couldn't find one.

Does anyone know of one?

No worries

sorry for the 'jack.

i use att and every town with a red light has cell coverage. if you need to use the phone a lot telcel might be better. if you are just checking in every other day for a minute (+/- .90/minute) i'd use att, unless you have a different carrier. att works the best in baja. they use the telcel network.

Dennis, at least you found a map,
still looking for one that shows real coverage.
For instance, I get coverage in El Rosario, GNegro, Asuncion, Abreojos, etc, and they all show zip on the map.

Also, I knew I would be out of the US all of March, in the Middle East and also in Baja, so I trudged down to ATT, paid $25 and got 49 cents a minute coverage in Baja (It was $1.99 a minute in Israel so I did not make many calls)
Also got enough BBerry units to do all my email for the whole month, but did not download any other info.

Telcel Coverage

Talked to hubby in Merida this morning. In the past, provided you have sufficient credit, the U.S., Mexico City D.F., London, Switzerland, Germany and Cuba are no problem.

Sorry, no experience with rural southern Baja; that might be more problematic.

Telcel has an English language customer service feature; *111 and then press #2 from the menu options.
