I watched the show. Although I have no complaint about Tacos Lily, I am somehow wondering about the idea that Bourdain spent time down there and really never visited a real restaurant, of which there are many fine examples. Almost makes me think there's a certain disdain built in to his psyche about Mexico.

I don't think it's some much disdain as it is the typical American mindset that the only good eats in Mexico are tacos, burritos and the occasional torta...oh, and all of it served with a heavy dose of rice and beans

Mision 19 isn't a real restaurant? :?:

I think he focused mainly on the Chef and not the bricks and mortar establishments.

Hola nomads,,but that guy can do tv shows all he wants..IMO baja does have some good eats..that I cant find north of the border..taco bell..run for the border !!! and they used that as their add promo....when I used to hear that I just gotta laugh !! K & T :cool:
