Bagels in La Paz
Found a new place for breakfast in La Paz! It is called 'Bagel Shop' and is on 291 Belisario Dominguez. They offer asstd fresh made bagels, flavored
cream cheeses, coffee and capaccino, waffles and other breakfast items. We had: sesame, cinnamon raisin and cranberry with a fruit plate (banana,
kiwi, cantaloupe, and strawberries), eggs bacon sausage with an everything bagel. Delicious coffee, hand squeezed oj, and Baja style chocolate milk.
everything tasted fresh and fantastic. Was even given a sample of fresh homemade Lox, very tasty! I know what I am having next time.
The owners are a very nice couple, she is from BCS and he is from Chile via Las Vegas. and San Diego. They were very nice to speak to and offered many
great suggestions for other local things to do and dining. They have been in business fir 10 months and are slowly making head way, as you can imagine
it has been hard teaching the locals about how good a fresh bagel is and how it is like nothing packaged in Wal-Mart.

I moved to CO and they made me buy a little rod to make it feel like a real fish

Just went to "Bagel Shop" based on the above recommendation and was very pleasantly surprised. Fabricio is a nice, interesting guy and the food was
excellent. The place is very nice and relaxing and my wife and I highly recommend it. It's one block West of Al Forno Pizza. Easy to find!

Einstein's Bagels...
They have an Einstein's bagels on H Street in Chula Vista. They are pretty pricey, as you know, but worth it if you want a good bagel. One day, I
got to Chula Vista around 4 pm, and went around the back way to park. Leaving was a worker with a huge plastic bag full of bagels. He said that
everyday they dump the bagels in the garbage that weren't sold. I told him I was going back to Mexico, could I have the bag...he said that it was
against regulations to give out the bagels but he gave me the bag. The next day I shared them with a local hospital in Ensenada. Imagine, they would
rather throw them out then give them away...I guess cause everyone would be lining up to get free bagels instead of buying them at regular
price. Quote: | Originally posted by bajaguy

Good job Ensenada Dr.!
I see this also at our local Home Depot when one of the men waiting out on the street for work, dumpster dives at the Von's store in the same area. I
see him holding several bags of bread taken from the shelves by the night crew and discarded. Shame that this occurs at many places on this side of
the boarder.
