Wish he'd win in NASCAR once in while.

All you need to know about his future in Sprint Cup is to check out last Sunday's race at Sonoma on the road course, a race he won a few years back.

He was "Dead end Charlie" from the green, and soon parked it in the garage to pick up his "show up" money.

Sad, because the guy could really run a road course.

His head is elsewhere these days and he is best served by sticking with the dirt trucks.

I did watch it. His involvement in the series has become a joke.

Nope- don't get to put the hammer down any more,
but for 12 years it was the real deal,
Got a second place 1000 trophy on my shelf
and fotos with the trophy queen.

When its time to quit, you gotta quit
but the memories are awesome!!

Robby is busy with his SST series of stadium races. It's similar to the old Mickey Thompson series. I think he'll be backing away from NASCAR for a while.

From his web site:

Robby Gordon’s Stadium Super Trucks series will begin in 2013. Series will consist of 10 stadium truck racing events that will bring entertainment and the excitement of off-road racing to the masses. Series offers Side-by-Side/UTV, BIGFOOT® and Stadium SUPER Truck racing to fans of all ages.

Robby has a deep pocket financial backer for the SST series - and this guy has no real interest in Nascar. Racing at RG's level is cubic $$ - Indy, Baja, Dakar, Nascar - the only current driver that could come close rivaling his versatility might be Tony Stewart.

Like him or not - Robby is one helluva driver, and his business biography will be written for decades to come. I wish him success.
