That's pretty good, thanks. I've never heard of some of them.

This is getting pretty far from an engine re-build, but I've always thought that for folks who want to be off the grid in Baja, that these home-buildable Green steam engines held a lot of promise. For a motorhead, they are full of motion that makes me smile.

There is a little steam 12 volt generator on this site that could easily be run off the sun in Baja.

Thanks TW .. think I missed my calling .. enjoyed working on cars.. and espacially doing a rebuild on an engine ... never thought of taking pictures of the process ..

The best part of all to me, was firing it up for the first time...

Like the left over parts...:biggrin:

vgabndo, any more on yours... interesting thinking

I fixed that other post. ???? I had treated you to the image of one of the crookedest cops in America. Another thing that piques my interest. There's a link to the steam engines running too.

WG...I remember the fun of slinking down the line in Lucky Yamaha in Lemon Grove, and hiding a couple of spare transmission shims under a shop rag of a fellow mechanic just ready to fire up a tranny rebuild. The look of terror/cold resignation on the face of the guy cleaning up his workbench, who wasn't 100% sure he hadn't missed a couple of shims, was brutal!:lol:

Whistler...is this machinist porn? Pretty darn cool. Is it running on compressed air?

Years ago at model airplane races outside Vegas I saw a Ford V8-60 model engine in a display running on gas. It would fit in the palm of my hand.

Have friends that were machinists, way back to pulling "chips" and those large Indexing machines... the biggest change I saw was the EDM machines, what a tool... simply amazing
