Having trouble making an avatar

I can't get an avatar up. I have the 25 posts, can I get a play by play. the file size is small, works on other forums, am I using the right code? And am I editing correctly on bajanomad?

Since it works fine - I entered the pic's location in the "Avatar URL" option of your user profile. I suspect you may have been using more of the code you copied in your post above - which wouldn't work for the avatar.

All that's needed in the Avatar URL box is the direct address of the image:

So for Willard, I suspect I was doing it right. But try going to imageshack.us and browse for a photo and choose the avatar size option and upload it. Then copy the forum code option, and paste it into the spot where it says Avatar under edit profile in the control panel section.
