dirt rd from valle de la trinidad to hwy 1

WE ARE GOING TO SAN VICENTE OR EJIDO ERINDIRA WHICH IS SOUTH OF ENSENADA. WE ARE LEAVING FROM SAN FELIPE
THIS LOOKS LIKE THE BEST ROUTE. CAN ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE DIRT RD. THANKS.
I WOULD ALSO LOVE TO GET AN UPDATE ON THE RD FROM MEXICALI TO SAN FELIPE. WE WENT DOWN THREE WEEKS AGO AND IT WAS HORRIBLE.

It is graded but has a couple of very steep grades... 4WD is nice to have, but should not be mandatory.

TW has the latest report on it (I think)... I hadn't been over it in 12 years.

Mike Younghusband and his burro Don-Kay walked it last year when they walked the length of Baja... Graham drove supplies to them about the midway point between Valle de Trinidad and San Vicente.

3 weeks ago I also drove Hwy. 5, and it was excellent except for the 20 miles detour where they are upgrading the highway!:light::cool:
