Otay Mesa crossing
We are going with friends for a few days in Rosarito. We are going to drive down with them and come back Tuesday morning. I know how to get back to
San Ysidro but I am hoping Otay will have a shorter wait time. We will be coming back about 1:00pm. Is Otay the better choice and what is the easiest
way to the Otay mesa crossing. Also, my wife and I have Sentri cards but will not be using the Sentri line as my friends do have them. Can I use these
as id when we come back or should we bring our passport?
Even a bad day in Baja is better then a good day somewhere else!

Otay info
from Rosarito, take Corridor (Blvd) 2000 to the Otay Mesa crossing.
You can use your SENTRI cards to cross.....at least that is what we were told by CBP several times.
You and your wife can use the SENTRI crossing, drop your passengers off at the beginning of the Otay foot traffic crossing, pick them up on the other
side.
If you want turn by turn directions for Otay, please u2u me

I sent the U2U. We wont be driving our car so we will suffer with our friends in the regular line...that is why i was wondering if I could use my
Sentri card as ID and leave the passport home.

We crossed the border at Otay on Thursday mid-day in the regular line and it took 3 1/2 hours.

Yeah, really made my day.
I was going to cross at Tecate, but the guy at the store in Santo Tomas checked online and said there was only 175 cars at Otay.
Last time I listen to him.
