Back to Baja

Dear Fellow English Speaking Ensenadans, (Ensenadenses)
On behalf of the President of The Ensenada Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Rafael Chavez, and the Mayor's International representative, Xavier Rivas, we want to ask for your help.

We realize that within the Ensenada English speaking community there exists an enormous bank of talent and energy. Folks that could provide valuable assist in a campaign to overcome the fears that have crippled one of our most important revenue sectors – U.S. tourism. And, we ask your support to help us organize and affect a "BACK TO BAJA" campaign.

Ensenada's allure, other than physical beauty, is the bounty of art, music, food and wine we all enjoy. Cultural values enhanced by the diverse mix of nationalities who chose Ensenada as home. The spirit of this campaign is embodied in the arts, especially music. For music trumps borders, language, economics and irrational fears.

Your skills and energy are much needed in these tough economic times. We are asking you to respond by calling or e mailing me (see below). Become part of a wonderful new organization of Mexicans and Foreign residents working together for a more prosperous and culturally richer Ensenada.

OUR CAMPAIGN GOALS
*INSTRUMENTS AND MUSIC LESSONS FOR KIDS WITH TALENT BUT WITHOUT RESOURCES
*ENSENADA IS SEEN AS A SAFE- SECURE, AFFORDABLE PLACE FOR FAMILIES
*ENSENADA IS VIEWED AS THE CULTURAL HUB OF MEXICO'S PACIFIC COAST

I guess Lee Amate has held back on his claims to be an attorney [pure BS] while he's associated with the Chamber of Commerce.

I don't know about anyone else, but I get sick and tired of being treated like a cash-cow.

I just sent this, my, post to the PBBB...same place you found this thinly veiled appeal for bucks:
------------------------------------
" Fix the border and the economy, and your program may have a chance for survival.
Americans have short memories and for that, the crime, past and present, has become a secondary factor in choosing a tourist destination.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
"Your skills and energy are much needed in these tough economic times."
----------------------------------------------------------

Since you put it like that...at what point does this grand initiative become a fund raiser?"
