DY Answer for Paula

It was a dark and stormy night...no, rewind that. It was a beautiful hot, dry fall day on the way to Swift Current, Saskatchewan to the Autumn Fun Fest. The event was hosted by the Living Sky Casino and the Swift Current Broncos. I have admired Dwight Yoakam's work since he came on the scene, but havd not seen a live performance. He appeared in places we could get to this summer if we could have got away from our summer jobs. I checked tour dates again and saw that there was also a fan club. I entered the club draw, won free tickets + "meet & greet passes". We jumped in the F-150 after work last Friday and headed east. JT Hodges was the warm-up band. The meet and greet is very quick, and that is where the photo is from. Dwight Yoakam was very nice to meet us all before the show. We had a great evening relaxing in our folding chairs sipping "silver bullets" under the prairie stars listening to a legendary performer and his excellent band. Got the CD (to listen to on the way down Mex. 1 (and the T-shirt, too) .

Salud,
w
