I just watched this video again. Unreal how things have changed. 60 somthing years is a long time I guess.

As I have reported before my father was a tuna fisherman and pulled into Cape San Lucas back in the '50s to unload tuna at the packing plant.
I was at Cabo San Lucas years ago(mid 90's) and the abandoned packing plant was still there-rusting away.

It was a different world ... 1/2 day boat with my dad in 1952 out of Ensenada, was 10 ... caught two barracuda's ... then hooked up with a Bonita
which "yanked" the pole out of my hands.. deck hand grabbed the pole and landed the fish.
As you can see, if left an impression ... what a time .. yeah I know a "fish story" .. its all good

I think it's called a bonito, not a bonita.... I had one of thos suckes spool me one time.
