The agency in charge of civil safety in La Paz has announced over the radio that there will be no classes for students tomorrow while authorities check school structures for damage.

Wonder why my post says 4:47, when I posted it at your time. Or did I just write it from a dream I thought I experienced?

The time displayed to each user has to do with their profile settings. The board is not aware of what time zone you're in. Each user sets their time relative to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) - and the time displayed reflects the relative time chosen by each user.

Baja California Sur is -7.0 hours from GMT, or -6.0 hours under Daylight Savings Time.

It was an earthquake cluster. The main shock was preceded by several smaller quakes the evening and night before smaller orange dots) ranging in size between 4.0 & 4.8.

You're probably correct. I'm thinking really big ol' seafaring ferry in just a few hundred-thousand years.

I hope so. On the other hand, the suburbs of Los Angeles should extend about half way down the peninsula by then, making for a VERY long commute to downtown LA. Oh, and San Diego, it got smooshed in the process.

When I looked at the clips this morning I saw Baja moving, and not northward but pivoting to the northwest? Alta California, west of the San Andreas would also be moving the same rate north as the peninsula... eventually making California a 1,500 mile long island. Well, at least in my crystal ball! LOL
