A Simple Encounter

Yesterday a group of riders left from north of Loreto out to San Nicolas.

It was along the way, an earthen orange small butterfly hooked up with my mule and me.
Around my head and Indio's, but in a completely serene manner of flight, for maybe a mile.

As Dolphin. Those that play around your hull, in cruise.

we look forward to the photo! What a wonderful image it conjured up though and nice comparison about dolphins around a boat.

There is a big cabalgata going from Nuevo Rosarito to San Borja too that should be awesome.

remember that to the Aztecs a monarch butterfly was the soul of one of their ancestors. it's a pretty awesome thought when you are surrounded by them.

simple encounters

25 years ago or so while walking along the beach and heading out to the point to surf at 9 palms I walked by those almond tree's on the shore inside the bay there and was suddenly completely enveloped in a swarm of butterflies. I instantly froze and became one with them for maybe a long minute maybe two until they chose to dissipate. Time sort of stopped as I was batted by hundreds of gentle wing pats. Truly a magical gift from Our Dear Mother Nature and just another Baja gift that keeps on giving. Thanks to all here for sharing your own experiences and daily reminding me of where I want to be everyday.

Jeff did not bring a camera yesterday.
I'll put some photos here for people to see, or go to
