Loreto Report

Got a chance to fly down to Loreto this past weekend and get in a couple days of fishing. There were 4 guys in our group so we went out in two Pangas with Loreto Land and Sea Tours. Day one was a little slow but we had a blast catching a nice sailfish on my light gear that I normally use for casting from shore and the other boat got a dorado and several bonito. The second day we got lucky and scored on tuna. We ran into a huge school of dolphin and sure enough there were yellowfin in there. Between the two boats we got about a dozen of them and all were in the 20-30lb range. The only bad news is that while we were finishing up for the day we could see a big commercial tuna boat headed our way so hard to say if they were there for much longer......hate when that happens!

Congrats on the score and too bad about the net boat. I was hoping the sailfish action would come alive, but sounds like not today!
