want to join convoy from San Diego to Loretto this week

am looking for a convoy from San Diego to Loretto who wouldn't mind having a bike tagging along - means more frequent stops for gas and not riding in the dark. Anyone going that direction?
thanks!!

I would imagine some plans have changed due to the weather down there.
Then again, maybe not.
Good luck and welcome to BajaNomad.

I would personally reconsider your plans for "this" week.
Not only will there be a real possibility of road washouts due to the approaching storm, but the massive amount of bugs in the air will knock you off your scooter.

I kid you not....literally thousands of huge butterflys and dragonflies have hatched out and are a menace to even car windshields and frontends......I would hate to see your face shield after a few miles.

It took an hour of pressure washer use to knock the bug juice off my vehicle, and I still had to use a chemical cleaner to get the residue off.......

I knew the bugs would out in force from Loreto to La Paz this last weekend and that is why the Harley stayed in the bodega and I opted for the 4 wheel cage.

Due to the weather, I would not come for at least a week.

Also, my new friend, expect the wrath of David K for your spelling error!

adding my vote for delay. I can't even get to town (Loreto) from my place just a mile north of the old La Pinta. raging arroyo already.

reality\'s never been of much use out here...

David, what took you so long? We almost started a pool for the length of time it would take you! I would of lost as I thought you would of been on the miscarriage of justice and slander of Loreto much sooner.

What is your question, or did Feathers answer it for you?

Feathers: not 'police', but maybe 'teacher'... as there are no fines or imprisonment for mis-spelled Baja places! :light:;)
