Right hand drive vehicles legal in Mex ??

Hello nomads
I just purchased an old Landcruiser which I plan to drive in Mexico with U.S. plates. It is from South Africa, however, and is right hand drive. Does anyone know if right hand drive vehicle are legal in Mexico? Or maybe someone knows where I could source this info.
Thanks in advance. I appreciate it.
Cheers

A friend of mine used to go to Baja in a old mail truck ( right hand drive). Never seemed to be a problem.

Not sure if it is legal but it is hard to find something that is illegal to drive in Mexico. Dirt bikes can go anywhere, off road vehicles can drive anywhere. I doubt you will have any issues other than people being curios.

Agree with all the above. Know someone who drives each year to Baja with a Toyota RHD diesel van.

I have been driving my 1976 mail delivery jeep here in Loreto for the last three years without being stopped. Not sure if it's legal but they leave me alone.

I doubt you could find an Official source of info,
my rule of thumb in Mex is if you give some, not
all, cops a reason/leverage to get creative re:
possible mordida, some may take it. But I'm
sure they have seen such vehicles

Be careful, there appears to be a couple pinch points in that conversion.
